When asked to describe her style, BB Featured Bride Joye takes a moment and then answers, “Modern chic with a touch of romanticism.” Having a sense of what she wanted to wear at her wedding, Joye extended her research to designers she hadn’t heard of before. She came across Pallas Collective, a luxury label based in Australia. “I loved their designs,” the bride says, “But didn’t think they were available in the US. Soon after however, I found out they were having a trunk show in NYC and made an appointment.”

Here, Joye shares all the details about her striking Pallas Collective gown and personals.

Part 2: Dress & Personals

Like most brides-to-be, Joye accounts a wedding dress search that entailed hours of scrolling, pinning, and saving images for inspiration. One design caught her eye. She remembers, “I saw the Elize gown online and thought it was absolutely beautiful.” Hoping the dress would be included in the Pallas Collective trunk show, she headed to the event, along with her mom, mother-in-law, and two best friends for support. And as fate would have it, the Elize gown was part of the collection that the label was presenting that day. “All of their dresses were stunning,” she recalls. “But once I tried this one on, I fell in love and knew it was for me.”

Joye’s captivating choice featured a trumpet silhouette and corset-style bodice embellished with light-ray pattern beading and floral burst appliqué over a satin blush underlayer. The combination of sleek form and delicate decoration created a look that was sexy, yet feminine. Joye notes, “I especially loved the overskirt – it made me feel like I had two different dresses.” She complemented her ensemble with a cathedral length tulle veil, also by Pallas Collective.

The bride kept her jewelry to a minimum. “My dress had a lot of sparkle, so I just wore a Swarovski crystal bracelet, which was a gift from my mom, and simple crystal drop earrings.” She finished her big day look with blush Jimmy Choo heels.

For her bouquet, Joye chose a recipe of flowers that felt modern and organic at once. The neutral-colored arrangement featured blush and white roses and Phalaenopsis orchids accented with dried Pampas grass and whitened Italian ruscus tied together with a cascading ivory ribbon.

The couple’s wedding party dressed up for the elegant summer affair – the bridesmaids wore satin dresses by Fame + Partners in a range of shimmering champagne hues while the groomsmen donned classic black suits from Generation Tux.
