Couples have a pick of wedding venues to consider in New York City. What makes Stone Mill at New York Botanical Garden so unique?
It’s the location! The Stone Mill is located within New York Botanical Garden, which covers 250 acres. The venue is surrounded by lush greenery making it feel like Upstate New York in the heart of The Bronx.

Can you tell us about the spaces that are available to couples planning to get married at Stone Mill?
Ceremonies tend to take place on the beautiful stone terrace overlooking the Bronx River. The ceremony flows right into the indoor/outdoor cocktail hour before guests move upstairs to dinner. One of the most amazing things about the space is how it allows for a continuously flow over the course of an event. Transitioning from the different parts of the wedding feels effortless – there is no interruption to the mood and atmosphere. We usually only do indoor ceremonies if it rains or there is an inclement of weather.

We’ve had the wonderful opportunity to do a handful of weddings at Stone Mill this summer – it’s been great to see how the venue works with all the different styles. We are wondering what are your favorite ways to see the space decorated?
What makes Stone Mill such a great space is that it looks different with each event. I love the look of long farm tables with elegant candlelight and greenery – it makes an already intimate setting look that much more romantic. Of course, dancing outside under a canopy of stringed lights is an unforgettable way for guests to enjoy the space.
