Bouquet Recipe: Airy with a Pop of Vibrant Coral

Chelsea Piers Coral Peony Bouquet by Andrea Fischman

Planning your wedding and looking for wedding flower inspiration? When you’re figuring out what types of flowers you’d like your floral designer to use, sometimes it all starts with your bridal bouquet. Bouquets should capture the season, mood and theme of your celebration. You’ll carry these flowers close to your heart as you walk down the aisle – what could be more special? There are as many bridal bouquet styles as there are brides – let your bouquet reflect your spirit and flatter your natural beauty.

You’ve been letting us know how much you like our bouquet recipes on social media, and we love making them, so here’s our latest. Yesterday we showed off the white floral chandelier and lush floral runner we created for Renee’s wedding on Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. Her bridal bouquet, like all her wedding flowers, started with white, peach and blush flowers. We chose some of our summer favorites -peonies and garden roses – then added white veronica, silvery dusty miller, and deep green ruskus, all arranged in an airy, natural style to show off mixed textures. Our favorite part of this bouquet? A vibrant pop of coral peony.

Floral Chandelier for Chelsea Piers Wedding

Floral Chandelier at Chelsea-PIers-by-Andrea-FischmanSunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers

Are you as obsessed with floral chandeliers as we are? Hanging florals have taken over everyone’s Pinterest boards and we believe this wedding trend is here to stay. Luxurious hanging florals uplevel the entire look of a wedding. We were thrilled when bride Renee told us she was dreaming of a gorgeous, showstopping floral chandelier, for her wedding on Chelsea Piers’ Sunset Terrace in Manhattan.

Renee decided on an overall wedding-color palette of white, cream, blush and peach. We selected white and cream flowers with lush greens for the floral chandelier. A natural look, with lots of mixed texture, felt right for this summer wedding overlooking the Hudson River.

Sweet Spring Wedding at the Harvard Club of New York

harvard-club-ny-newlyweds-uplift-photography

Kristy and Dave’s wedding brought lighthearted joy to the storied halls of the Harvard Club of New York. Opened in 1894, and on of the city’s first buildings to be officially designated a landmark, this is one of Manhattan’s most exclusive wedding venues.

For this spring wedding, beautiful bride Kristy wanted stylish, elegant wedding flowers that would be at home against the club’s traditional mahogany paneling, while also expressing the freshness of the season. A soft blush, cream and white color palette, featuring cherry blossoms, hit all the right notes.

We created a romantic, multi-dimensional bridal bouquet with budded and bloomed garden roses, blush anemones with black centers, and lisianthus. Bridesmaids carried simple, loosely-rounded bouquets of blush ranunculus and garden roses, accented with lisianthus.

An Abundance of Roses: Dream Wedding at The Plaza Hotel

“Jason and I grew up a few blocks from one another in New York. We always knew of one another, but never met,” bride Marianna told us. “One day, ten years ago, I was walking home during a horrible snow storm. Jason and a mutual friend stopped their car to offer me a ride. Being the girl that I am, I said no way!”

But fate kept trying to bring this couple together. “Six years went by before we met again at a party,” said Marianna. “As soon as he walked in, he saw me and our eyes locked. Ever since that moment, we have been inseparable. On December 30, 2013, Jason popped the question in Hawaii.”

Glamour at The St. Regis New York

Sherry and Auren met the old-fashioned way, at a friend’s birthday party in New York City. “After the first date, both of us knew this was it,” Sherry told us. Auren proposed several months later on the picturesque Pont des Arts (lover’s bridge) in Paris.

The couple shared a vision of an understated, contemporary celebration, against a backdrop of classic, timeless elegance and romance. Where better than St. Regis New York? This recently renovated and redesigned, grand hotel preserves the storied feel of Old New York.

For the traditional Jewish ceremony, we created a four posted chuppah, elegantly draped in white chiffon, with a lush line of florals along the top. Candlelit blush, cream and lavender rose petals lined both sides of the aisle. Gilt chandeliers and soaring ceilings in The St. Regis Roof, a Beaux Arts Ballroom, called for tall, couture-look centerpieces. Flowers including Cool Water and Ocean Song roses were carefully arranged to create a chic ombre effect, from cream to blush, to pale pink, to deeper lavender.
