Sophia was enjoying drinks with friends on a Thursday evening. After catching up over a few rounds, she stepped away from the group to sit down and check the time on her phone. Her concern about the late hour and going to work in the morning must have been apparent because just seconds later a complete stranger approached and said, “Hey there! Why do you look so bored?” After introducing himself as Sam, he offered to buy Sophia a drink and introduce her to his friends. Once they got to the table, Sophia turned to Sam laughing and said, “Actually… these are all MY friends!”

On the afternoon we stopped by CryoEmpire to talk with cofounder Dasha Varshavski, a cluster of silver mylar balloon letters were floating in the spacious lounge where clients relax after being treated. Turns out, the letters spelled out FROZEN and were left over from the party that CryoEmpire had just hosted for cast members of the Disney musical on Broadway, which officially opened this month.

Located just blocks away from Bryant Park, CryoEmpire is a state-of-the-art rejuvenation center that combines anti-aging services with the latest technology to tailor services that focus on beauty, performance, and recovery. As Dasha showed us around and explained the various equipment and procedures, we could really sense that a lot of thought was put into creating a welcoming and tranquil space. The interior is painted in airy shades of blue and white illuminated by crystal chandeliers with elegant decor. “Everyone who comes here says they never want to leave. That means a lot, because we really wanted to create a unique and beautiful environment that provides an escape from the city.” We couldn’t help but think how fantastic it would be to have a bridal shower here!

For their Guastavino’s reception, Madalyn and Jon underscored the venue’s magnificent interior with décor that was high-impact, yet sophisticated. Still, the night’s mood was joyous and full of energy with guests partying well into the late hours. Here’s the final chapter of Madalyn and Jon’s Bride & Blossom wedding story.

Part 4: Reception, Card Table, and Dance Floor

After Madalyn and Jon said “I do”, festivities got underway with a cocktail hour. “For the reception, I knew that I wanted to have the ceremony flowers suspended over the dance floor,” Madalyn says. While everyone was busy raising their glasses to the newlyweds, the Lucite chuppah was removed to reveal a gorgeous hanging floral chandelier that casted an enchanted air over the rest of the evening.

To our surprise, we learned that Lauren had a career as an interior designer before starting her business.
