“What is more dramatic, even romantic, than the tumbled towers of lower Manhattan, rising suddenly to the clouds like a magic castle girdled by water?” ― Jane Jacobs, The Death and Life of Great American Cities
New York City bride Julissa wanted a celebration with a Manhattan skyline view for her late summer wedding. Planner Leslie Short of K.I.M. Media, who specializes in weddings with a Latin flair, knew a perfect spot.
“They were looking for an indoor and outdoor venue with a quiet sophistication about it. Tribeca Rooftop fit the bill,” said Short. “When we walked in Julissa got chills and said, ‘This is my venue!'” Read More
What a glamorous wedding executed by the talented wedding planner Erin Halley for our lovely couple! Taking place in a beautiful Manhattan Church and followed by a reception at The Pierre Hotel, the opportunity to design this wedding was a wonderful treat.
Facing Central Park in the Upper East Side Historic District, marvelous skyscraper-esque The Pierre Hotel is one of New York’s finest luxury accommodations. Designed by Schultze & Weaver, the hotel opened in 1930, and was later acquired by Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces of India.
The look and feel of this venue wed beautifully with the classic decor and floral arrangements selected by our couple. Featuring a palette of crisp white, lush purples, and soft cream, our couple’s creation made for a truly dazzling and sophisticated look that was perfect for this high-art-like hotel. Read More
Esther and James were married in the Spring at Battery Gardens in the historic Battery Park. In case you did not know, “Battery Park is a 25-acre public park located at the Battery, the southern tip of Manhattan Island in New York City, facing New York Harbor.” (Wikipedia) Loved this beautiful location and designing the perfect arrangements for this affair!
The bouquets featured coral peonies, and were central to the design. This beautiful flower has limited seasonal availability making it a very special choice. When coupled with the peach garden roses and white-toned flowers, the peonies really pop from these color complements. I was inspired by this couple’s sophisticated arrangement choice, and thought their look went perfectly with the awe-inspiring venue. So much health and happiness to Esther and James!
June 8th, 2014at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. The marriage of Tracy and Michael. Photography by Emma McDonald Weddings. Floral Design by Bride & Blossom.
When Tracy first approached us with her floral design request, we were more than delighted to be able to work with her. She picked out a beautiful array of flowers that suited her unique style, as well as fun and festive summertime wedding colors. Her look also connected to a very vintage feel, which went perfectly with the ceremony and reception venue at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, as pictured above. Tracy’s bouquets and centerpieces featured a wide-variety of flowers, including peonies, garden roses, spray roses, orchids, succulents, and dusty millers. Her bouquets were lush, vibrant, and made a marvelous complement to her the style of her wedding dress, as well as the look of her bridesmaids, and one adorable flower girl.
