The Perfect Bridal Clutch to Hold Your Wedding Day Essentials

Now that you’ve found a dress, you’re ready to start thinking about accessories. Shoes and earrings are a given. Perhaps you plan to wear a shimmering hair comb and heirloom necklace as well. But what about a bridal clutch? Do you need one?

Since you probably won’t have car keys or money (a bride never pays on her wedding day!), you really don’t need a purse. But then there are those essentials such as a cell phone, tissues, lipstick, blotting papers, compact mirror, mints, and gum that you’ll want easy access to throughout your wedding day. Stashing everything in a clutch is going to make life a lot easier as you are taking pictures, talking with guests, dancing, and enjoying every amazing moment. A bridal clutch is not only practical, but also adds a touch of personality to your bridal look. And many designers are creating elegant and chic designs that you’ll want to carry post-wedding.

Bride & Blossom’s Favorite Bridal Shops in New York City

Congratulations on your engagement! Once you’ve enjoyed the moment, it’s time to start planning for the big day. At the top of your to-do list is finding the perfect wedding gown. With so many designers and looks to choose from, the task is met with a mix of joy and anxiety. One thing is for sure though: you want to find a frock that makes you feel beautiful and is a true expression of your style and personality.

We spend a lot of time with our brides. While conversations focus on flowers, we love to hear about a bride’s dress, where she got it, and how she knew it was the one for her. We’ve gleaned a lot of insight over the years and thought it would be fun to put together a guide to Bride & Blossom’s favorite bridal shops in New York City.

Favorites From Wedding Crashers in Brooklyn

Wedding Crashers, a Brooklyn wedding fair at the Wythe Hotel, introduced us to new vendors and inspired us with creative ideas. This event emphasized handcrafted and unique touches to bring a personalized, vintage-modern feeling to weddings. Sustainable design and responsibly sourced ingredients and materials were hot topics at the fair, but didn’t pull focus from what couples always look for: charming, elegant and sentimental ways to express their love and taste. Here are a few of our favorite things from the fair.

Handmade engagement rings crafted with Fairmined metals and ethically sourced diamonds and gems. Bario-Neal offers total customization of all ring designs and transparency about suppliers and sourcing. Some diamonds in their designs are “recycled” or antique. Couples aiming for a green lifestyle need not sacrifice elegance. We loved the classic shape and colored stone in their Aquamarine Halo ring. Read More

NY Weddings Bridal Show

Bride & Blossom just attended the New York Weddings Bridal Show, held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC! Our booth was near the wonderful ladies of Bride’s Head Revisited (http://bridesheadrevisited.net/). They are hosting an evening of cocktails and wedding ideas on April 16th, 2012 at De Berardinis Chelsea Salon (http://bridesheadrevisited.net/events).

The catering company, Creative Concepts NYC (http://www.creativeconceptsnyc.com/) was right next to our booth too! Ron Ben-Israel creates the most gorgeous and intricate wedding cakes ever! (http://www.weddingcakes.com/#/home/). Our main attraction for the evening rested on two reversible vases and consisted of purple and white hydrangeas, lavender roses, lavender and purple stock, and fuchsia phalaenopsis orchids and feathers. Gorgeous Gown and Bouquet

I’m loving this gown. One of our recent brides wore it and the bouquet we created for her complements it perfectly. The flowers and crystals on the gown are so elegant. The bouquet is soft, romantic and traditional with a combination of Roses, Calla Lilies and Peonies. We even added in some Swarvoski crystals to match with the gown.
