The arch is the focal point of the ceremony and for many, the most important decor element in a wedding. All eyes will be concentrated on this structure standing at the end of the aisleway where it frames the couple as they exchange vows. In both indoor and outdoor settings, it anchors a space while establishing the aesthetic tone for florals and decor. Symbolically, the archway represents a couple’s future home as they start their new life together.

Scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration, you’ll quickly notice that ceremony arches come in various shapes and sizes. Going back through the Real BB Weddings archives, we narrowed it down to the three most popular shapes: round, square, and curved. The beach is where it all began for Bride & Blossom. It was Founder Rachel Trimarco’s waterside nuptials that planted the seed, which would eventually grow into a luxury floral design & styling boutique. Rachel visualized the floral landscape for her own wedding. On the morning of, a-bride-to-be walked through the venue and liked the flowers so much that she requested contact information for the florist. That bride became Rachel’s first client.

In the past twelve years since then, the sense of joy and excitement felt as summer begins and weddings head to venues lined with sandy beaches and picturesque seascape views is just as strong. After a year and a half of pandemic lockdown that greatly impacted how we gather and celebrate lifetime events, we are especially looking forward to this upcoming season. In addition to the breathtaking setting, what makes beach venues in the New York City area so alluring is that they offer the look and feel of a destination wedding without all the added planning, stress, and expenses.

Imagine being met by lush florals and greenery with every step you take down the aisle. Going big with ceremony pathway décor was a major emerging trend last year with our brides. Scattered rose petals and candles (which are absolutely beautiful!) were given over to flourishing, natural arrangements that looked like a garden in full bloom. Aptly described as a ‘living’ aisle, these show-stopping scenes captivate the eye to no end. Our client proposals for the upcoming wedding season indicate that this floral love affair is here to stay. From wildly romantic to prim and polished, here are décor ideas for making the big walk all you dreamed of and more.
