Bridal Beauty at The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park

By:

One of the best parts of working with Bride & Blossom is having the opportunity to hear the amazing love stories of our brides. Liza and Jesse’s story is no exception!

“Jesse’s sister Carly introduced me to Jesse at her Hanukkah party several years ago. My close friend from college grew up in the same town as Jesse and is close friends with Carly. It took Jesse almost a year to ask me out, but after our first date, the rest was history. Being married to Jesse makes me feel like the luckiest girl!”

We think she’s pretty lucky too, especially helping to create a classic ambiance for her traditional wedding at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park. Liza went with a clean, simple color palette in shades of white and ivory with blush accents that popped against the dominant neutrals she chose. With a show-stopping venue like The Ritz-Carlton, she knew better than to overdo it on décor, and let the setting add to the classy, romantic mood.

“My most memorable moments of my wedding day began with my mom buttoning my gown and my dad seeing me for the first time. At the event, the most special moments were seeing Jesse’s smile as I walked down the aisle and being surrounded by our closest friends and family on the dance floor. It was the most magical night of our lives!”

We loved working on this stunning and deceptively simple bouquet for Liza to carry down the aisle. 30 cream vendela roses were hand-tied with ribbon that complemented the bride’s dress, and the groom’s boutonniere contained a single cream vendela rose wrapped in ribbon that matched the bride’s bouquet.

Gorgeous high centerpieces of white hydrangeas and blush-colored roses accented with tall, floating votives decorated some tables, while lower flower arrangements mixed with the same tall floating votives created transparent levels where guests would be seated. Overall, the mood was classic, chic, and 100% New York City bride.

Pretty in Pink

By:

We know “wedding whites” and “something blue,” but there’s a third color that dominates the wedding industry: pink. This hue can show up anywhere from over-arching color schemes to non-traditional bridal gowns and, of course, flowers. Because so many blooms naturally occur in this hue, it’s no surprise that we have used a ton of pink flowers over the years at Bride & Blossom.

“There are so many choices and decisions that brides have to make on their style and decor, and such a wide variety of options,” says our Director of Events, Elianna Phelps.

“We get to know our brides very intimately and work hard to capture their unique vision, and we play a big role in setting the mood. This arch really suited this bride, venue, and wedding so harmoniously, and the images remind us of those happy moments that we get to be a part of.”

While we try not to play favorites when it comes to our own floral designs, there are a few elements, like the one above, that tend to stick with us.

This aisle of pink petals (leading up to a gorgeous adorned gazebo) at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond, OK, is one of my all-time favorite Bride & Blossom moments. I love how much fun the flower girl here is having, just sitting in the grass, playing with the petals! And of course, I couldn’t think of a more beautiful place for the Bride & Groom to say their vows.

The color pink is known to represent compassion, nurturing, and that most important of wedding virtues: love.

#MeetTheReineckes

When we think of the phrase “dream wedding” in the Bride & Blossom studio, we don’t mean a high-maintenance affair with pounds of tulle and a cavalcade of stretch limos. For us, a dream wedding is one where the couple’s unique love story shines through anything, even a rainy day in Manhattan.

The Reinecke wedding was the kind we dream about. These Boston College sweethearts held their wedding at Battery Gardens, accompanied by the mellow vibes of the Clark Eno Orchestra. The bride wore Kate Spade shoes for the ceremony and reception, but had no problem slipping into Hunter boots when the weather turned wet. From champagne with her bridesmaids until the moment she said “I do,” bride Kristen McEvitt was the perfect image of a princess.

Featured Venue: The Village Club of Sands Point

By:

Since the beginnings of Bride & Blossom, we have had the privilege of working with so many extraordinary venues, ranging from intimate urban spaces like Studio 450 to sprawling rustic-romantic landscapes like Blue Hill at Stone Barns. One of our favorite locations by far has been the Village Club of Sands Point, at 1916 Italian Renaissance-style mansion built in upstate NY by Issac Guggenheim.

What makes this space special is not only its inherent beauty, but its ability to be completely transformed into an absolute fairytale with the right touches. Our mother-of-the-bride said it best: “You all not only met, but exceeded our expectations for the day! You transformed the Village Club of Sands Point Mansion, which is already a beautiful setting for a wedding, into something that was magical and truly memorable.”

Join us on a walk down memory lane with these breathtaking photos, shot by Lindsay Madden Photography.

Rustic Floral Arches

By:

Nothing says romance like a naturalistic arch custom-built for your wedding vows. From simple structures of branches and greenery to colorful compositions dripping with roses, there is no end to the creative combinations you and your floral designer can come up with.

These work well both indoors and outdoors, so don’t worry too much about whether or not they’re “in season.” A good florist can make the magic happen regardless of when or where your wedding will take place. Here are some of our favorite rustic arches and structures from the Bride & Blossom archives!

New York Elegance at The St. Regis Hotel

By:

Bride Cheryl Fradin and groom Adam Caviezel have one of those old-school New York City love stories that most people will tell you is the stuff of fiction.

“Adam and I met at a mutual friend’s birthday party at Houston Hall. He caught my eye, and we started talking. He got right to the point and asked me if I had a boyfriend. When I said no, he asked if I was at the party with anyone. Adam took me out dancing when the party was over, and we both felt an instant connection. Five weeks later we were in love and inseparable, one year after that we were engaged, and one year after that we were preparing to walk down the aisle! Every day we thank our lucky stars that we walked into each other’s lives.”

With such a perfect story, it’s no surprise that their evening ceremony and 200-guest reception, held at New York’s iconic St. Regis Hotel, was flawless. The bride carried a bouquet of white garden roses, white ranunculus, blush roses, and ivory spray roses, walking down the aisle in a dress by Leanne Marshall and Kate Spade shoes. See our gallery below for goal-worthy wedding inspiration.
