We’ve had the pleasure of working together with Lauren on many weddings. So we were especially excited when she agreed to be interviewed for Bride & Blossom’s Women Paving the Aisle series. To our surprise, we learned that Lauren had a career as an interior designer before starting her business. Here, she talks about her decision to go back to culinary school, what goes into to making her dazzling floral adorned wedding cakes, and how she stays creatively inspired. Read More
With its exquisite silhouette and arresting beauty, few flowers set hearts a flutter like the calla lily. Our brides just love this bloom! And when it comes to wedding decor, the calla lily is versatile and grows in a spectrum of stunning colors such as crisp white, yellow, pink-peach, purple, and a deep aubergine that looks almost black! Whether your style is modern chic, classic, or romantic, the calla lily, our bb bloom in spotlight, is a great choice to decorate with on your wedding day.

As one of our favorite wedding flowers of the season, we thought it would be nice to feature the anemone as the first BB Bloom in Spotlight for 2018. With its striking, black center and delicate petals, it’s no wonder brides choose to incorporate the anemone into wedding floral decor. And as designers, we love this bloom’s versatility. From simple and classic to whimsical garden to romantic elegance, the anemone can be used in just about any style of wedding. It offers a spectrum of pretty colors ranging from crisp white (the most popular) and blush to purple, burgundy, red, and pink. Read More

Is there anything better than flowers and cake? We’re pretty sure there isn’t. Coordination between your florist and your cake designer can be a great way to keep continuity throughout your decor, and make your flowers a part of your reception. Below are some of our favorite cakes we’ve collaborated on, and some inspiration we’ve picked up along the way!
1. The Naked Cake
Gone are the days when white buttercream and/or fondant were a wedding cake requirement. The “naked cake,” made popular by Momofuku Milk Bar, is at once rustic, on-trend, and ultramodern.
Succulents are all the rage right now, popping up in centerpieces, bridal bouquets, and wedding decor — but this is the first time we’ve seen one on a cake! We’re so inspired by this simple, trend-forward cake.
Fall brings warmth and glow with burnished leaves, amber afternoons and evening firelight. Copper’s earthy radiance makes it the favored metallic of this season. We found inspiration in an exquisite Indian bride, runway fashions from Elie Saab And Meadham Kirchoff, and a gleaming barn wedding with a glittering cake by City View Bakehouse. Stir the embers of your autumn celebration with coppery accents, accessories and decor.
