Moms as Brides: Happy Mother’s Day Part 2

Mothers-Day-Brides-Manhattan
Happy Mother’s Day to all our beautiful brides who walked down the aisle with their own son or daughter as ring bearer or flower girl! We always love to see the ways that children are included in wedding ceremonies and celebrations. It’s especially touching to see kids escort their moms to the altar.

To all the brides who got married with their children at their side, all the brides who became step-moms when they said their vows, all our brides who are now moms or moms-to-be… have a beautiful Mother’s Day!

Mother of the Bride: Happy Mother’s Day Part 1

MOB-sisters
Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful moms who do so much to make their daughters’ wedding days special. Some of our favorite wedding memories this year are of time spent with mothers-of-the-bride, hearing stories about their own weddings, seeing the love and pride on their faces. Here are a few of our favorite wedding photos featuring these wonderful women.

Ethereal Wedding Captured by Elie Creative Moments

We are all so moved by this beautiful video by Elie Creative Moments, of a recent wedding we did at Gotham Hall. Bride Liya has a special place in our hearts and we loved bringing to life her vision of ethereal white wedding flowers. These talented wedding videographers captured Liya’s sweet spirit, the love that surrounded her during this magical celebration, and the beauty of the Manhattan venue. It brought tears to our eyes!

South Street Seaport Wedding on The Knot

Today on The Knot, a wedding we did back in 2012. What a sweet surprise to see our beautiful bride, with her bouquet of champagne roses, white Eskimo roses, peonies and anemones, and to remember that stunning skyline wedding cake. Unfortunately, the downtown Manhattan wedding venue with that beautiful view, Bridgewaters, has since closed due to damage from Hurricane Sandy. Let’s look back on this South Street Seaport celebration as a reminder of resilience, that essential quality shared by every great city and every great marriage.

Quintessential Manhattan Wedding: Central Park & 21 Club

Central-Park_Bride-and-Flowergirl

A ceremony in snowy Central Park, followed by a sophisticated reception at the fabled 21 Club, made for a timeless Manhattan wedding, straight out of a classic movie. Landmark New York City venues add a sense of history and tradition which perfectly suited this beautiful bride’s tastes.

The bride envisioned classic, elegant flowers for her white winter wedding. We created her bridal bouquet with off-white garden roses and white phalaenopsis orchids, then wrapped the stems in satin ribbon and finished with a glamorous crystal brooch. Isn’t the above photo of the bride and her adorable flower-girl daughter with their bouquets just exquisite? The magical hush of Central Park in the snow was perfectly captured and you can see what a special moment this must have been. And our bride was a brave girl– that last day of January was one of the winter’s coldest days. She doesn’t even look like she noticed!
