Lorenza & Pete Celebrate Saying ‘I Do’ With A Festive Reception

After exchanging vows at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, newlyweds Lorenza and Pete jumped into a vintage Rolls Royce and were whisked away to their reception at the New York Botanical Garden. Here, featured bride Lorenza shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.

 

 

Part 4: Reception, Card Table and Holiday Tablescape

“Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of waking up on my wedding day to snow,” recalls Lorenza. Sure enough, when she opened her eyes on December 9^th, the season’s first snowfall was blanketing New York City. The magical outdoor setting was the perfect complement to her and Pete’s winter themed reception.

Celebrations commenced in the Garden Terrace Room where everyone was greeted by a warm and festive scene. Guests grabbed a drink and made their way to a jaw-dropping card table featuring a towering centerpiece of white amaryllis, wintergreens, and mountain laurel branches illuminated by ivory pillar candles and gold votives.

 

 

“My mom and Rachel had really great ideas for reception décor,” said Lorenza. “They put their heads together and created beautiful white florals with seasonal greenery.” The head table was bedecked with an elegant display of silver candelabras complemented by fresh greenery. A backdrop of glistening Christmas trees cast an enchanted ambiance over the scene.

 

 

 

Additional reception décor featured various centerpieces in shades of white and green. Some tables were adorned with low centerpieces of white, cream, and ivory flowers accented with greenery and berries. The second style presented a towering arrangement of hydrangea, roses, peonies, berries, and greenery enhanced with mountain laurel branches. The assortment of height and texture paired with soft candlelight created a warm and intimate feel throughout the space.

 

 

 

The invitation may have said formal, but the evening’s mood was all about having fun starting with Lorenza and Pete’s first dance. Guests joined the couple for a non-stop dance party with tunes provided by DJ Longfellow that lasted will into the night.

 

 

 

From start until finish, Lorenza and Pete’s special day was a sincere expression of their style and love for each other. And all of this was made possible by the couple’s parents. Lorenza looks back and says, “There are still not enough words of gratitude to properly thank them for the most beautiful day of our lives.”
