A November Wedding

Here’s a glimpse into a wedding we did back in November! Tiffany and Lawrence said “I do” in the beautiful Battery Gardens of NYC with the gorgeous color scheme of purple, lavender and orange. This was one of our sweetest couples, so easy to work with, and we definitely enjoyed the karate photos the groom preformed! The bride’s mother made us feel so welcomed by offering us food and even inviting us to the cocktail hour, which we declined because of our attire.

Cascade bouquets…Vintage or Contemporary?

Today’s brides generally opt for rounded, hand-tied bouquets and think of cascading bouquets as being vintage or old fashioned. We love the look of a well done, classy cascade bouquet. They can be simply stunning if made well. The only thing to be aware of is to make sure that this type of bouquet compliments your dress. If you’re wearing a ball gown don’t even think about it! Carnations are Hot!

We love CARNATIONS! They have made a comeback and are no longer considered a taboo wedding flower. They look great paired with Hydrangea to add depth to an arrangement and come in so many vibrant colors that work well as fillers. Our personal favorite is using them alone in tight, compact arrangements giving them an elegant, modern look.
