If you have been following along with us on social media during the past few months, you may already know that the launch of Bride & Blossom’s new location in Naples, FL is underway. Getting to this point took over a decade of work building a luxury floral and décor company in New York City, partnering with vendors, and cultivating client relationships. In addition to a commitment to providing services that meet the highest professional standards, our philosophy has always been about finding a balance that is focused on staying present while setting goals and being open to new opportunities. This mindset guides Bride & Blossom’s Florida expansion, and we are excited for the path ahead of us.

From the bride and her dress to the music, decor, and guest list, the royal wedding between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry was full of firsts and delightful surprises. As expected, it was a grand event of poise and pageantry. But at the same time, the couple found ways to make their nuptials feel intimate, personal, and full of sentiment. Watching along with the rest of the world, we still sensed that Meghan and Harry had created a day for themselves, one that they will be able to look back on years from now knowing that they did it out of love and commitment to each other rather than to meet protocol and expectations. And as we learn new details, the idea that this was a royal wedding like never before becomes all the more true.

Hello Bride and Blossom Readers!

As you may or may not know, we offer floral classes monthly! In the classes, besides enjoying some delicious wine and cheese, we invite one of our floral designers to come in and teach our students on several different techniques we use in the studio for our Bride & Blossom weddings! Floral design is super simple once you have the right supplies and clear steps. And it’s extremely relaxing and cathartic. Whether you’ve got a gorgeous garden and green thumb or you are a total novice, our classes are designed to teach you basic design principles that you can use again and again for making arrangements for your home, office or to give as gifts!

Meet Our Design Team

We are so fortunate here at Bride & Blossom to have so many incredibly talented and creative designers working as part of our B&B family.  Our designers come to us with diverse skill sets and experiences, and we assign arrangements based on their strengths, to best execute each client’s unique vision and bring their proposals to life. We chatted with three of our talented team members  about how they got into the industry, what a typical day at the studio entails, and what it takes to be an extraordinary floral designer.

How did you get into floral design? Why were you attracted to it?

I was a beauty school drop out, for real! I took Cosmetology in a Vocational High School and hated it. But I did fall in love with the Horticulture Program – and that is how I “blossomed” out into flowers. I was attracted to the freedom of it. I liked the way the flowers smelled and the way you could make them look so interesting and pretty. I liked that they brought others so much joy.

A Bachelorette Bash at Bride & Blossom

Bride-to-be Sarah and her best girlfriends celebrated her upcoming wedding by learning about floral design at the Bride and Blossom studio. The girls created vibrant arrangements with stunning shades of pink roses, peonies, tulips, and accents of lush greenery.

The class was guided by our Wedding Coordinator, Lauren Fernandez.  “Teaching and floral design are my two passions, so it was an absolute pleasure teaching the girls how to create an arrangement,” she says, “They did an amazing job! I loved how each arrangement was unique even though all the girls had the same flowers and vase. That’s my favorite part of floral design!
