Starting to navigate the waters of being social again, we look forward to parties with excitement and gratitude. Just about every sector of the New York City business community has been impacted by Covid-19. Perhaps no industry suffered more than hospitality. The establishment of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden over a century ago paralleled the modern development of New York City. As skyscrapers, paved streets, and bridges grew like weeds, it was nearly impossible to find a soft spread of grass or blooming flower garden. Not much has changed to the concrete jungle that has come to define the cityscape. And thankfully, not much has changed to Brooklyn Botanic Garden since opening in 1911. It continues to be a designated green public space where people can come and get lost in the mesmerizing splendor of nature. It is no wonder then that the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is an in-demand venue for couples planning their wedding in New York City.

The beach is where it all began for Bride & Blossom. It was Founder Rachel Trimarco’s waterside nuptials that planted the seed, which would eventually grow into a luxury floral design & styling boutique. Rachel visualized the floral landscape for her own wedding. On the morning of, a-bride-to-be walked through the venue and liked the flowers so much that she requested contact information for the florist. That bride became Rachel’s first client.

In the past twelve years since then, the sense of joy and excitement felt as summer begins and weddings head to venues lined with sandy beaches and picturesque seascape views is just as strong. After a year and a half of pandemic lockdown that greatly impacted how we gather and celebrate lifetime events, we are especially looking forward to this upcoming season. In addition to the breathtaking setting, what makes beach venues in the New York City area so alluring is that they offer the look and feel of a destination wedding without all the added planning, stress, and expenses.
