Guests were buzzing after Cara and Vince’s exchanged vows. Not only had they just witnessed a beautiful ceremony, but their happy hour menu included a strongly caffeinated drink selection. “Vince is Italian and takes his coffee very seriously. He hired Top Hat Espresso to serve an array of coffee and gelato,” the bride says. “Everyone was really happy. It was a unique way to start the second part of our wedding.” Here, Cara shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.

Reception, Centerpieces, and Entertainment

After enjoying cocktails and coffee, guests gathered into the reception space where they were greeted with a breathtaking scene. Trimmed with twinkling lights, the clear top tent gave way to the dark sky above, underscoring the enchanted atmosphere all around. The tablescape featured various centerpieces. Simple yet sophisticated, the first style was composed of white Phalaenopsis orchids illuminated by stemmed glass candles. “The orchid centerpieces were my favorite,” Cara remarks. “They made the tables pop with such elegance.” The second style was composed of an exquisite trio of cluster arrangements showcasing burgundy ascot and baccara roses and cream majolica spray roses. Cara, who is Irish and grew up Irish dancing, made the table signs, paying homage to her and Vincent’s family heritages. “Blending the two countries, the tables were named after our favorite places, some we have traveled to and some we hope to visit, in Ireland and Italy.”

They even opted not to have a standard wedding party. “At the end, we wanted everything to feel very intimate with just us standing at the arch.” Here, Cara talks about exchanging heartfelt vows in front of their closest friends and family.

“I’ve always loved wedding dresses that most would describe as ‘old-fashioned,’” BB Featured Bride Cara says. “As a young girl, I was the one who marveled at a set of pearls rather than diamonds.” Even with her bridal style in clear view, Cara was surprised when she ultimately decided on what she was going to wear down the aisle – a breathtaking ball gown by Pronovias. Here, she shares her ‘say yes to the dress’ moment and details about her bridal personals.

Part 2: Wedding Dress & Personals

The original plan was for Cara, along with her closest and most trusted confidents, to make a trip to Manhattan for a fun-filled weekend of wedding dress shopping. With COVID-19 making traveling any distance difficult, she decided to stay local and browse the boutiques in the Philadelphia area. “My Mom, two sisters, niece, Grandma, best-friend, and mother-in-law were able to come with me, so the experience still felt very special,” she recalls. “We made a day of it, renting a limousine and enjoying a nice, relaxing lunch in between shopping.”
