The beach is where it all began for Bride & Blossom. It was Founder Rachel Trimarco’s waterside nuptials that planted the seed, which would eventually grow into a luxury floral design & styling boutique. Rachel visualized the floral landscape for her own wedding. On the morning of, a-bride-to-be walked through the venue and liked the flowers so much that she requested contact information for the florist. That bride became Rachel’s first client.

In the past twelve years since then, the sense of joy and excitement felt as summer begins and weddings head to venues lined with sandy beaches and picturesque seascape views is just as strong. After a year and a half of pandemic lockdown that greatly impacted how we gather and celebrate lifetime events, we are especially looking forward to this upcoming season. In addition to the breathtaking setting, what makes beach venues in the New York City area so alluring is that they offer the look and feel of a destination wedding without all the added planning, stress, and expenses.

We love cultivated floral decor. But heading into summer, we can’t help but fall under the spell of wildflowers. Charming, colorful, and natural, they add a fresh, carefree feel to the weddingscape. But as you will see, wildflowers can be worked into just about every wedding style from clean and minimalist to classic and elegant. The big question here is, “How ‘wild’ do you want to go?” Keep in mind, you don’t have to make a full commitment to the theme. Adding just few wildflowers to more ‘traditional’ wedding blossoms is all that is needed to bring a sense of lighthearted joy to your big day.

Engagements and weddings are about celebrating the unique bond between two people. For LGBTQ+ couples, the idea of embracing existing wedding traditions may not feel right, like a true demonstration of their love and relationship. We believe your wedding should represent who you are, and you should in no way feel obligated to follow a certain set of rules. In fact, what makes these weddings so special is seeing couples put tradition aside to create a day full of genuine moments that are heartfelt expressions of their love and personality.

You’ve finally decided on the dress and shoes, now it’s time to start thinking about the flowers that you’ll be carrying down the aisle. As the bride’s ultimate floral accessory, the wedding bouquet is the finishing touch on your big day look and should be chosen carefully. While we love a voluminous clutch of cascading blossoms and greenery, smaller bouquets have been catching our eye most recently. What these petite arrangements lack in stature, they more than make up with beauty and meaning. Unique, creative, and personal details become all the more important here. This is especially true as brides have had to reconsider their original vision because of COVID-19, and plan for a smaller, more intimate affair.
