Finding your bridal style is an exciting journey and how a woman arrives at hers is deeply personal. While some brides may have envisioned their veil-to-train look long before hearing the proposal, others find their style unfolding in real time, learning more about themselves with every choice they make. Which brings us to the next important decision: selecting your wedding bouquet.

Scrolling through inspiration on Instagram and Pinterest often reveals bouquets overflowing with an array of flowers, fillers, and lush greenery. While these abundant arrangements are undeniably eye-catching on social media, they don’t resonate with every bride. For clients seeking a more distinctive alternative, we often suggest focusing on a single variety of flower. The appeal of a mono-floral bouquet lies in its quiet confidence – it reflects an aesthetic sensibility guided by personal taste rather than passing trends.

Rebecca and Kevin met in January 2021 during the Pandemic after matching on Hinge. Unable to sit through another date eating pasta outside in the cold under a heated lamp, Rebecca did something she ordinarily wouldn’t do – she accepted an invitation to come to Kevin’s apartment so he could cook dinner for her. Taking a risk paid off. “My thoughts on love at first sight changed,” she remembers. “The man standing in the entryway was everything I hoped for and, up until that day, never found. Kevin had made lemon pasta, spiral potatoes, and bacon wrapped dates and I never looked back.”

For many of our brides, the wedding bouquet is the defining element that inspires the rest of their floral decor. It is no secret then that we love designing handheld arrangements – not only essential from a planning standpoint, they are a deeply symbolic expression of a woman’s style and personality. And for this reason, it should appear as though she is carrying the arrangement, not the other way around.

Choosing blooms that make an impression while accentuating a bride’s ensemble instead of distracting from it can be challenging. At this point, we’d like to turn the conversation to the long-stemmed wedding bouquet. What’s so exciting (and surprising!) about the featured designs is how they read as dramatic but not overly bold, polished but not overly restrained. Read on for long-stemmed wedding bouquet ideas for the classic bride.

Caroline and Darius first met during their first year of college in New York City – she was going to FIT, and he was going to NYU. The sparks were apparent to both, so much so that Darius went home to tell his roommate (and best friend) that he had just met the woman he was going to marry. But it wasn’t until after both had studied abroad for a year that Caroline and Darius were able to truly connect. “We met up again at a New Year’s Eve party, and we have been inseparable ever since,” Caroline recalls. “I think we both knew immediately – it felt this was the way it was supposed to be.”

Jaslyn and Andrew met during college when they both were studying abroad. Jaslyn remembers, “On the second night of our program, a group of us headed out for a tapas crawl. I immediately noticed Andrew – he has a voice that carries across the room and makes everyone feel like a good friend.” Andrew was struck by Jaslyn’s warm smile and contagious laugh. Over cocktails, they each felt a spark. For the next six weeks, they were inseparable, traveling to different countries, going on date after date, and getting to know each other.
