Whether you are getting married at a countryside vineyard, art museum, contemporary loft space, or historic estate, there is a good chance that your wedding venue has a stairway somewhere in its layout plan. While trimming a staircase may not be the first item on your ‘To Do List’ for floral decor, it’s still an area that should be given thought and attention. As wedding florists, we can say that in our experience, it’s these extra details of embellishment that not only enhance a weddingscape, but are also what stands out most to guests. Imagine being welcomed to a church ceremony with entrance stairs lined with greenery and candles, or turning the corner in a centuries-old mansion to discover a twisting staircase adorned with a mélange of fresh flowers. Read on to see more beautiful ideas for decorating the stairway at your wedding.

The beach is where it all began for Bride & Blossom. It was Founder Rachel Trimarco’s waterside nuptials that planted the seed, which would eventually grow into a luxury floral design & styling boutique. Rachel visualized the floral landscape for her own wedding. On the morning of, a-bride-to-be walked through the venue and liked the flowers so much that she requested contact information for the florist. That bride became Rachel’s first client.

After a year and a half of pandemic lockdown that greatly impacted how we gather and celebrate lifetime events, we are especially looking forward to this upcoming season. In addition to the breathtaking setting, what makes beach venues in the New York City area so alluring is that they offer the look and feel of a destination wedding without all the added planning, stress, and expenses.

The unmatched allure of Gurney’s Montauk is the picturesque beach setting, which offers a breathtaking backdrop for saying “I Do.” From their first vacation as a couple in Puerto Rico to getting engaged in Miami, Dayna and Matthew shared their most special moments together near the water. “Gurney’s was our dream spot for getting married,” Dayna says. Here she talks about her and Matthew’s unforgettable oceanside ceremony.

Part 3: Ceremony

The moon gate ceremony arch is undeniably beautiful for many reasons. Its unique shape offers a myriad of possibilities for floral décor and styling. Symbolically, the circle represents unending love, unity, and protection. While the moon gate floods wedding blogs, Pinterest, and Instagram feeds, we have created only a few round designs for our Real BB Weddings. When Dayna proposed the idea in our meeting, we were very excited and couldn’t wait to start working on bringing her vision to life.

When Dayna and Matthew first met at the go-to-Friday-night bar in their senior year of college, sparks flew right away. “I wasn’t looking for anything serious though. I was just trying to have a good time. But Matthew was very persistent that we were going to continue dating,” Dayna looks back and says with a laugh. His relentless effort paid off and eight years later, the couple exchanged vows in a magnificent summer wedding at Gurney’s Montauk.
