A breathtaking scene awaited guests as they took their seats for Ashley and Joe’s wedding. The ceremony was set to take place at the Pergola on the Great Lawn, which over looks the Hudson River. After a preliminary round of toasts during cocktail hour, guests found their seats via a captivating escort card table and made their way to the Plaza’s ballroom. There, the vibrant pink color scheme gave way to white and gold. “Brad wanted an all white ballroom, which I thought was a nice idea to keep everything romantic,” Hilary says. “The Plaza is marked by gold ornamentation on the ceilings and walls. There was something so beautiful and elegant about having clean white.”

After taking their seats, guests waited for the newlyweds to make their party arrival through the venue’s downstairs doors. But Claire and James had bigger plans. She recalls, “No one expected us to make an entrance from the balcony catwalk! It was perfect. ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ by Stevie Wonder played as we walked down the spiral staircase and met all of our family and wedding party on the dance floor. We all immediately started dancing!” And with that, the tone was set for the rest of the night.
