Ever since Mandy Moore’s wedding last year, we’ve been obsessed with the pampas grass wedding trend. Soft, natural, and available in colors ranging from white to whispery pink, it can be worked in to just about every decor element. For her private backyard ceremony, Mandy Moore used pampas grass to capture a feminine boho vibe. But it can be used to express a variety of wedding styles ranging from whimsical to sophisticated. Thinking of incorporating pampas grass in to your big day celebrations? We’ve got you covered!

Wedding Backdrop

Pampas grass brings luxurious volume and texture to the wedding backdrop, creating a scene guests will be talking about long after the vows are exchanged. Go wild with a rich and sprawling aisle and archway in a neutral palette. A circular arch of soft pink and beige stems combined with lush greenery and blossoms radiates heavenly romance. White pampas grass, blooms, and greenery arranged on a geometric backdrop is the perfect marriage of bohemian and modern styles.

Given Hilary’s taste for glitz and glamour, it comes as no surprise that she celebrated saying “I Do” with a reception comparable to the fabulous parties F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote about in The Great Gatsby. There was luxurious décor, sparklers, pulsating music, and a showstopping 5-tier wedding cake. Here, the bride talks about the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.

Part 4: Reception, Centerpieces, and Sweetheart Table

After a preliminary round of toasts during cocktail hour, guests found their seats via a captivating escort card table and made their way to the Plaza’s ballroom. There, the vibrant pink color scheme gave way to white and gold. “Brad wanted an all white ballroom, which I thought was a nice idea to keep everything romantic,” Hilary says. “The Plaza is marked by gold ornamentation on the ceilings and walls. There was something so beautiful and elegant about having clean white.”

Heading into the holiday season, we couldn’t think of anyone better to have as our featured bride for December than Lorenza. She and Pete celebrated saying “I do” on an enchanted winter’s day at the New York Botanical Garden. Here, Lorenza shares the first part of their love story.

Proposal & Planning

In a time when casual dating via social apps is like a sport, Lorenza wanted something with more substance. Looking back, she says, “It was the busiest time of my professional career. I was a producer at CNN covering the 2016 election. Despite my busy work-life, I knew I was ready to meet someone special.” So upon the suggestion of a colleague, she joined, with some apprehension, the paid dating website, Match.com.

Sophia was enjoying drinks with friends on a Thursday evening. After catching up over a few rounds, she stepped away from the group to sit down and check the time on her phone. Her concern about the late hour and going to work in the morning must have been apparent because just seconds later a complete stranger approached and said, “Hey there! Why do you look so bored?” After introducing himself as Sam, he offered to buy Sophia a drink and introduce her to his friends. Once they got to the table, Sophia turned to Sam laughing and said, “Actually… these are all MY friends!”

The Bride Carried White : Unlocking the All-White Bridal Bouquet

While some brides may dismiss the idea of an all-white bouquet as generic or forgettable, in truth, there are so many ways to express your unique personal style in all-white. The absence of color unlocks a focus on texture, composition, and tone that goes to show sometimes less really is more. “No matter what the flower or style, white bouquets always look beautiful and chic,” says our Creative Director Lindsay Saltz, “As Da Vinci once said, ‘Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.'”

Here at Bride & Blossom, we’ve worked with dozens of brides seeking all-white bouquets, from vintage to modern, clean to complex.  But no matter the design, a white bouquet is a timeless choice, rich with tradition and symbolic of the bride’s entrance into a fresh, new chapter of her life.
