Sunita & Daren Wedding – Ceremony Arch – Gotham Hall NYC – by Kirra Cheers Photography
Gotham Hall will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was one of the first major venues in New York City that Bride & Blossom had the pleasure to decorate back in 2011. Built in 1924 when it served as The Greenwich Savings Bank, the space radiates timeless New York elegance from floor to ceiling. What makes Gotham Hall so remarkable from a wedding florist’s standpoint is that despite the distinctive atmosphere, the venue caters to a myriad of décor styles ranging from classic to whimsical to modern. After exchanging vows, Stefanie and Mike welcomed guests to a stunning reception with décor capturing the magical ambiance of the evening. From the brilliant florals to the gorgeous dinnerware to the show-stopping cake, this was going to be a celebration no one would soon forget. Here, Stefanie shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.
Part 4: Reception, Guest Card Display and Centerpieces
The evening festivities commenced with cocktail hour. Guests mingled, enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres, and raised the first of many toasts to the newlyweds. Afterward, everyone returned to Gotham Hall’s Grand Ballroom where they were greeted with a card display made of two walls decorated with greenery and flowers. Stefanie and Mike enlisted Ceci New York to put a personal touch on all of their wedding stationery. “We loved collaborating with Pejy Kash to bring Stefanie and Mike’s classic and timeless vision for their invitations to life,” the luxury wedding invitation designer remarks. “When it comes to the day of accessories, we always love a floral, so when Pejy asked us to create something inspired by Bride & Blossom’s floral design for the day, we were in. We created beautiful floral tags using our signature Ceci Floral Watercolor, each had the guests name hand calligraphed. It was a perfect combination, and for us it’s all in the details!” Read More
Stefanie and Mike Wedding – Bride and Groom Chuppah Bouquet – Gotham Hall – Emma Cleary Photography
“I’ll never forget seeing the ballroom for the first time,” BB Featured Bride Stefanie recalls. Gotham Hall’s grand, cavernous space is marked with a 3,000 square foot ceiling above an inlaid marble floor with classical gilded ornamentation all around. Decorating such a distinctive venue can be tricky. One could play it safe with traditional white or take a risk with a vibrant floral display. Stefanie chose the latter and here, she reminisces about her and Mike’s spectacular ceremony.

After seeing a Broadway show with her mom and grandma, Stefanie planned to meet up with friends for a night out in the city. Stefanie reassured them not to worry about how she would get home – her friend Mike had offered to drive in from East Meadow, just a town over from where her parents lived in Long Island and pick her up. She just had to ask. Grandmas know best and Stefanie’s grandma saw the situation clear as day. “If he is going to drive all the way into Manhattan at 1 am to pick you up and then just turn around and bring you home, he must be in love with you.” Read More
