Sophia & Sam Wedding – Bride – Tribeca 360 NYC – by Shira Weinberger
Finding your wedding dress can be a daunting task. You want to feel and look beautiful as soon as you put it on. You want the dress to be something you can’t stop thinking about even while sifting through rack after rack of other beautiful designs. Ultimately, you want what you wear down the aisle to represent you. Today, we talk with our featured bride Sophia about the moment she knew when to say “yes to the dress.”
Part 2: Wedding Gown & Personals
Like many brides-to-be, Sophia began the search for her wedding dress online. The worldwide web can be an overwhelming place, especially when looking for something that means so much to you. Sophia had an easier time than most though. “I spent a lot of time on the Internet looking for wedding dresses and found one that I kept going back to. As I went through the trying on process, it was the one that I would always compare the other dresses to. It didn’t take long before I knew that that first dress was the one for me.” Read More
Now that you’ve found a dress, you’re ready to start thinking about accessories. Shoes and earrings are a given. Perhaps you plan to wear a shimmering hair comb and heirloom necklace as well. But what about a bridal clutch? Do you need one?
Since you probably won’t have car keys or money (a bride never pays on her wedding day!), you really don’t need a purse. But then there are those essentials such as a cell phone, tissues, lipstick, blotting papers, compact mirror, mints, and gum that you’ll want easy access to throughout your wedding day. Stashing everything in a clutch is going to make life a lot easier as you are taking pictures, talking with guests, dancing, and enjoying every amazing moment. A bridal clutch is not only practical, but also adds a touch of personality to your bridal look. And many designers are creating elegant and chic designs that you’ll want to carry post-wedding. The stars were aligned from the moment Danielle and Noah first met. Danielle was riding the LIRR headed out to the Hamptons when a friend recognized her. As they caught up, she immediately noticed the cute guy her friend was traveling with. His name was Noah and they started chatting. He offered her a sip of his beer and they hit if off immediately. “I don’t fully believe in ‘everything happens for a reason,’ Danielle recalls, “But I do believe August 19, 2013 happened for a reason.” Their wedding story is as close as it gets to a modern day fairy tale. On the East bank of the Hudson River, thirty miles north of New York City, lies the beautiful historic settlement of Chappaqua. Founded by the Quakers in the 1780s, Chappaqua is home to a multitude of stunning historical buildings, including the timelessly elegant Crabtree’s Kittle House, where Ryan and Darren Mooney were married in impeccable style this past November.

Ryan and Darren reside in Boston, where they met during their second year of law school. “We were both at a mutual friend’s birthday party where I learned Darren was moving not far from where I lived,” recalls Ryan, “I must have had liquid courage because I jumped at the opportunity to show him the neighborhood. It was very awkward, to say the least…we went to the gym and then Trader Joe’s! It stuck though, and we’ve been together ever since!” Read More
Growing up in Edgemont, NY, Samara was always close with her best friend’s older sister Amy. Hanging out after school or on weekends, she always admired Amy’s boyfriend’s best friend Keshar from a distance, but at the time seven years was much too wide an age gap for her to think of acting on her crush. Little did she know their paths would cross again years later, when Amy and her boyfriend got married. This time, the seven year age difference didn’t make things seem so out of the question.
A few months later, after completing a medical rotation in London and Florida, Keshar called Samara and asked her out on their first date. The following Saturday, he picked her up at 10 AM for a delicious brunch at Norma’s followed by an entire day in Central Park. It was the longest first date either of them had ever been on, and they’ve been together ever since… Read More
David first caught Becca’s eye on OK Cupid in August of 2014. With six tattoos of her own and counting, she was inspired to message him after spying the ink on his arm. They went on their first date the very next day, and on their second date the day after that! After mini-golfing on the West Side, they sat and watched the sun set over the water, and Becca knew this was going to be something special. Dave, who’d been concerned his previous marriage and children might spook his date away, was relieved to find he could be completely honest and open with Becca. She wasn’t going anywhere. Read More
