When we first meet with our brides to discuss the design of their dream bouquet, they usually have one or two ‘go-to’ flowers in mind such as the garden rose, peony, or ranunculus. This is a great starting point, but rarely does a bouquet contain just one or two flowers. Rather, the colors, texture, and dimension that define a bouquet’s unique beauty are the result of major and secondary blooms in combination with fillers and greenery.

To help our readers better understand all the pretty details that go into assembling the perfect hand-held arrangement, we are sharing the floral recipes from our most ‘liked’ Real BB Wedding bouquets.

You’ve finally decided on the dress and shoes, now it’s time to start thinking about the flowers that you’ll be carrying down the aisle. As the bride’s ultimate floral accessory, the wedding bouquet is the finishing touch on your big day look and should be chosen carefully. While we love a voluminous clutch of cascading blossoms and greenery, smaller bouquets have been catching our eye most recently. What these petite arrangements lack in stature, they more than make up with beauty and meaning. Unique, creative, and personal details become all the more important here. This is especially true as brides have had to reconsider their original vision because of COVID-19, and plan for a smaller, more intimate affair.

Ask anyone who has gone through the process, figuring out the seating plan is one of the most brain-racking tasks of wedding planning. Unfortunately, once you have the plan mapped out on paper, there are still more details to consider in this area – specifically, the manner in which your guests will be guided to their seats. Typically, an escort card table or seating chart is used as decorative place marker, welcoming everyone to the reception while instructing them to where they should go and settle into for the rest of the night. Guests were buzzing after Cara and Vince’s exchanged vows. Not only had they just witnessed a beautiful ceremony, but their happy hour menu included a strongly caffeinated drink selection. “Vince is Italian and takes his coffee very seriously. He hired Top Hat Espresso to serve an array of coffee and gelato,” the bride says. “Everyone was really happy. It was a unique way to start the second part of our wedding.” Here, Cara shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.

Reception, Centerpieces, and Entertainment

After enjoying cocktails and coffee, guests gathered into the reception space where they were greeted with a breathtaking scene. Trimmed with twinkling lights, the clear top tent gave way to the dark sky above, underscoring the enchanted atmosphere all around. The tablescape featured various centerpieces. Simple yet sophisticated, the first style was composed of white Phalaenopsis orchids illuminated by stemmed glass candles. “The orchid centerpieces were my favorite,” Cara remarks. “They made the tables pop with such elegance.” The second style was composed of an exquisite trio of cluster arrangements showcasing burgundy ascot and baccara roses and cream majolica spray roses. Cara, who is Irish and grew up Irish dancing, made the table signs, paying homage to her and Vincent’s family heritages. “Blending the two countries, the tables were named after our favorite places, some we have traveled to and some we hope to visit, in Ireland and Italy.”
