Glamour at The St. Regis New York

St-Regis-Wedding-Ceremony-Florals

Sherry and Auren met the old-fashioned way, at a friend’s birthday party in New York City. “After the first date, both of us knew this was it,” Sherry told us. Auren proposed several months later on the picturesque Pont des Arts (lover’s bridge) in Paris.

The couple shared a vision of an understated, contemporary celebration, against a backdrop of classic, timeless elegance and romance. Where better than St. Regis New York? This recently renovated and redesigned, grand hotel preserves the storied feel of Old New York.

For the traditional Jewish ceremony, we created a four posted chuppah, elegantly draped in white chiffon, with a lush line of florals along the top. Candlelit blush, cream and lavender rose petals lined both sides of the aisle. Gilt chandeliers and soaring ceilings in The St. Regis Roof, a Beaux Arts Ballroom, called for tall, couture-look centerpieces. Flowers including Cool Water and Ocean Song roses were carefully arranged to create a chic ombre effect, from cream to blush, to pale pink, to deeper lavender.

Classic Manhattan Wedding at The Plaza Hotel

floral-decor-plaza-hotel-fred-marcus-photography

Check out our newest wedding gallery, Manhattan Classic. This dream wedding at The Plaza was one of our favorites so far this year. We loved bringing bride Marianna’s romantic wedding flower vision to life, with over 10,000 roses. The Plaza’s soaring ceilings and exquisite architecture inspired us to create timeless floral designs with unique touches.

Wedding Flower Details From The Rachael Ray Show

Valentine's Wedding Flowers for Rachael Ray SHow

When we were invited to design wedding flowers for a segment on The Rachael Ray Show, we didn’t have much time. We also didn’t have input from the bride; the producers wanted to surprise her! We knew one thing: this bride deserved to have the best wedding flowers.

For a Valentine’s Day wedding, we couldn’t think of anything more classic and romantic than using shades of red and pink! Our collaborator, Genevieve Gorder, agreed the look should be lush and lovely and have a bit of modern twist.

To achieve this look, we couldn’t use just any old shade of red or pink… We carefully selected each color, making sure each shade complimented one another.

We Love: Faceted Glass Terrariums from West Elm

glass-terrarium-boxes-West-Elm

We were so inspired by the way Helen Guzman, of Bonito Designs, displayed roses like precious jewels at a recent shoot. It’s easy to imagine more ways to use these glass terrariums and boxes by West Elm. They would make exquisite table card holders. Or, fill one with a few berries, a citrus fruit or a sprigs of herbs, to display next to the description of a signature wedding cocktail. At home, use one on a bedside or coffee table, to display wedding keepsakes like the ribbon and pearls that adorned your bouquet, your groom’s bow tie, or the jeweled comb you wore in your hair.
