Pretty in Pink

We know “wedding whites” and “something blue,” but there’s a third color that dominates the wedding industry: pink. This hue can show up anywhere from over-arching color schemes to non-traditional bridal gowns and, of course, flowers. Because so many blooms naturally occur in this hue, it’s no surprise that we have used a ton of pink flowers over the years at Bride & Blossom.

New York Elegance at The St. Regis Hotel

Bride Cheryl Fradin and groom Adam Caviezel have one of those old-school New York City love stories that most people will tell you is the stuff of fiction.

“Adam and I met at a mutual friend’s birthday party at Houston Hall. He caught my eye, and we started talking. He got right to the point and asked me if I had a boyfriend. When I said no, he asked if I was at the party with anyone. Adam took me out dancing when the party was over, and we both felt an instant connection. Five weeks later we were in love and inseparable, one year after that we were engaged, and one year after that we were preparing to walk down the aisle! Every day we thank our lucky stars that we walked into each other’s lives.”

Bouquet Recipe: Something Blue

If you want to put a fresh spin on the old adage of “something borrowed, something blue,” put the “something blue” in your bouquet! This arrangement borrows from the pastel color palette of spring by combining light and dark blue delphinium with lavender lisianthus and white garden roses to create a dimensional arrangement that is as unforgettable as the bride.

Sunset Elegance at The Liberty Warehouse

The Liberty Warehouse is one of New York’s most unique and breathtaking wedding venues. The pre-war building on Brooklyn’s iconic Red Hook shipping docks was built in the 1850s, and is the only place in the state where you can see the Statue of Liberty’s face as you look out over New York Harbor.

This was an especially fun wedding to do because of the sunset timing and the overall elegance, enhanced by little details such as the bride’s shimmering, beaded gown, candles flickering in tall glass cylinders, and black table linens. By paying close attention to every element of the decor, we were able to create a romantic mood that set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Bouquet Recipe: Pink and Green Accents

2.29 Bouquet Recipe
The classic combination of pink and green gets a fresh lift in this bouquet. White dahlias and white garden roses create a neutral backdrop that takes this color scheme from ultra-girly to elevated elegance. The subtle hints of green from seeded eucalyptus and monochromatic pinks in spray and light pink roses are the perfect touch.
