Madalyn & Jon: A Modern Love Affair at Guastavino’s

We are excited to introduce Madalyn, our Bride & Blossom featured bride for March. Madalyn and Jon said “I do” on a snowy winter day in December at Guastavino’s. Here is the first chapter of their wedding story.

Part 1: Engagement & Planning

When the time came to propose to Madalyn, Jon made sure the life changing moment would exceed her greatest expectations. Knowing that she wanted to visit Beacon, NY, Jon planned an end-of-summer trip to the picturesque upstate city. Their itinerary started with a scenic Saturday morning hike up Mount Beacon. Beautiful Ideas With Delphinium Wedding Flowers

We’re not surprised that the delphinium has emerged as a favorite wedding bloom with our brides this season. Also known as the line flower and ‘larkspur’, the delphinium has a long stock covered with tiny blossoms making it the perfect accent for a centerpiece or bouquet. As one of the few true blue flowers in nature, it grows in a spectrum of blue shades ranging from pale and whispery to dark and intense.

The flower’s name originates from the Greek word “delphis” meaning dolphin. This description refers to its closed flower buds, which resemble a dolphin’s nose. In the language of flowers, the delphinium symbolizes an open heart, overall positivity, and fun and cheerfulness. Essentially, every quality you want on hand as you start a new life with the one you love most!

Make It Personal: Unique Wedding Table Number Ideas

There’s nothing we love more than to see a couple use wedding decor to share chapters from their love story. Table numbers are a great way to add a personal touch to your reception. The idea is not to over do it. You don’t want your wedding table numbers to outshine centerpieces and disrupt the decorative flow you worked so hard to achieve! Rather, they should complement the table atmosphere while expressing your love and personality. For the bride in need of inspiration, we went through the Real BB Wedding archives and rounded up our favorite table number designs.
