It’s hard to believe that our very own Rachel Trimarco, a self-professed born planner, never intended to start a career in the wedding industry. Fast forward ten years later and she’s running a successful floral design and décor company in the heart of Manhattan.

A new business couldn’t rely on posting eye-catching photos with snappy captions to attract attention and gain visibility. This was especially true in the wedding industry where goods and services are valued for their visual appeal and ability to meet clients’ aesthetic tastes.

Beautiful Ideas With Delphinium Wedding Flowers

We’re not surprised that the delphinium has emerged as a favorite wedding bloom with our brides this season. Also known as the line flower and ‘larkspur’, the delphinium has a long stock covered with tiny blossoms making it the perfect accent for a centerpiece or bouquet. As one of the few true blue flowers in nature, it grows in a spectrum of blue shades ranging from pale and whispery to dark and intense.

The flower’s name originates from the Greek word “delphis” meaning dolphin. This description refers to its closed flower buds, which resemble a dolphin’s nose. In the language of flowers, the delphinium symbolizes an open heart, overall positivity, and fun and cheerfulness. Essentially, every quality you want on hand as you start a new life with the one you love most!

In planning her own wedding, Bride & Blossom Featured Bride Aerin made sure that every element was personal and full of meaning. This week, Aerin spoke to us about finding her perfect wedding gown and how she incorporated family heirlooms into her wedding day.

Many brides-to-be approach the topic of wedding dresses with apprehension, knowing that the process can take weeks, even months in some cases. When asked about her experience, Aerin said, “ I was enjoying planning for my wedding so much that when it came time to find a dress, I was beyond ecstatic.” Early in her search, she came across a Pronovias dress in a bridal magazine. “My heart was set on it,” she recalls.” With fingers crossed, Aerin made an appointment with the designer’s flagship store in Manhattan to try the dress on in person. She remembers that special moment of looking in the mirror, “The dress fit effortlessly and I felt like it was meant to be.” Made of crepe and tulle fabric, the breathtaking Pronovias design features exquisite gemstone embellishment along the back trailed by a sweeping skirt.
