Bride & Blossom Featured Bride Marianna On Her Floating Chuppah

One of the best things about being a floral designer in New York City is working with brides who incorporate their own special traditions into their wedding day. The chuppah, a significant feature of a Jewish ceremony symbolizing the home of the soon-to-be married couple, lets a bride be creative and express their personality and style. This week, we talked with our featured bride Marianna about her jaw-dropping chuppah and how she felt on her wedding day.

Celebrity Fall Weddings We Love

With its golden glow and rich colors, fall casts a romantic allure that cannot be denied. Even celebrities succumb to the season’s intoxicating spell and plan their weddings from late September through early December. Just recently, two star weddings caught our eye – Kate Upton and Verlander and Colton Haynes and Jeff Leatham. While these weddings are drastically different in style, they are both heartfelt expressions that celebrate each couple’s love and personality.

B&B Blooms in Spotlight: Amnesia Rose

“Love planted a rose, and the world turned sweet.” With so many quotes about the romantic beauty attributed to the rose, the words of poet Katherine Lee Bates rank as our favorite. Not all roses are the same though, and each type has its own singular allure.

To inaugurate B&B Blooms in Spotlight, a blog series devoted to our favorite wedding flowers, we are going to talk about the amnesia rose. In recent years, this bloom has caught the admiring eye of the wedding industry and become very popular with our own brides. What makes the amnesia rose so special is its unique lavender, beige and green tones, which give the flower a lovely ‘antique’ look. For this reason, they are the perfect floral feature to showcase in a vintage style wedding.
