A chance Saturday brunch in Williamsburg, Brooklyn ended with Heather and Amos finally making the biggest decision in their wedding planning process. “We wanted our wedding to feel fresh and memorable,” says Heather. “We also love the water and wanted to incorporate a water element in some way.” With its luxury rooftop offering breathtaking views of the East River and Manhattan, the William Vale had everything this modern couple was looking for in a wedding venue. Here, Heather talks about her and Amos’ romantic ceremony high in the sky.

Part 3: Ceremony and Chuppah

As guests made their way to the rooftop terrace of the William Vale for Heather and Amos’ ceremony, they were welcomed with a captivating scene. The sun was just starting to set behind the New York City skyline, casting a shimmering light on the water below.

The couple chose to fill out the chic, open-air space with lush, natural décor to create an atmosphere of striking contrast. Elegant garland lined the aisle to a jaw-dropping white floral and greenery chuppah. Made of birch branches, the four-post structure featured rich greenery adorned with voluminous Tibet and spray roses, stock, snapdragons, and hanging delphinium and amaranthus.

Escorted by her father, Heather stepped to the aisle and was immediately met with gasps from guests. As she proceeded down the walkway, her breathtaking floral accented Pronovias gown came into full view, underscoring the blossoming ambiance all around. When she finally met Amos under the dreamy chuppah, it was clear this was a love that was meant to be. As if on cue, a golden light cast down on the couple during their first kiss as husband and wife.

Heather looks back on the moment and says, “Amos is Jewish and I am Catholic. However, our ceremony was more about being spiritual than religious. It was very important for everything to be representative of us. We told the story about how we met and how our relationship evolved.” She continues with a laugh, “The ceremony was about who we are as a couple, which at that point… after ten years of being together… everyone knew.”

Look forward to next week when Heather shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding Story.
