Wedding trends come and go. For couples in the midst of planning a wedding in 2024, deciding on what’s in and what’s going to be out by next year can be difficult. While we tend to shy away from the term ‘trend,’ there seems to be a collective desire from clients and professionals alike to incorporate floral and decor elements that create jaw-dropping weddingscapes while allowing couples to express their individuality. And by choosing to design a wedding that is personal and a sincere reflection of what you love, your wedding will defy becoming a fad and stand the test of time. To help you get inspired, we rounded up our favorite wedding flower and decor trends for 2024.

Masterpiece Inspired Florals
Wedding flowers are undergoing an art renaissance at the movement. Designs are finding inspiration from masterpiece still life floral paintings. Imagine bountiful arrangements that sweep across the table, unstructured bouquets, and juicy fruit accents. What we love so much about this trend is its free form approach to floral styling, which invites clients to think outside the box and explore creative modes of expression.

Dazzling Disco Details
We’ve all bared witness to disco balls taking the party to the next level, so it’s great to see these glittering decorations have their moment to shine in formal events. In addition to their customary placement over the dance floor, shiny globes are popping up in surprising spots – we had a recent wedding incorporate them into the centerpiece display and guest book table as well as the design details on invitations and day-of stationery. They are versatile when it comes to color schemes and look just as sparkly against all-white as they do paired with vibrant red, pink, and purple.

Monochromatic Floral Palettes
There is an assumption that focusing on a single wedding color reads as unexciting, flat, rigid. Anything but, this fresh approach to monochromatic florals zeroes in on one hue (often bold) and introduces similar tones to create interest and depth in arrangements and wedding structures. For example, the subtle contrast of magenta, hot pink, red, purple, and plum creates a spectacular palette full of dimension and complexity that draws the eye in.

Sky-High Candle Centerpieces
No longer just an accent piece, candles are now the shining stars of wedding table decor. A contemporary nod to the Old World candelabra, these sky-high centerpieces present candles, usually taper or pillar, atop sleek glass holders of varying height. The design is versatile – it’s just a matter of styling. For a modern glam look, skip the flowers and simply add more light – floating candles and votives are a beautiful choice. To capture a naturally romantic aesthetic, arrange a lush bed of florals at the base of the holders.

Curvature in Decor
In wedding design, hard lines and geometric form are giving way to sinuous gestures in key elements ranging from floral archways to escort card displays to table signs and menus. The curvature trend is a great choice for anyone who desires an aesthetic that feels modern and romantic at the same time. Distinctive on their own, arced pieces can be softened with the addition of abundant blooms and greenery, candles, and textured linens.

Exuberant Hanging Blooms
It’s no secret that we have a particular love for suspended florals. Now more than ever, couples are coming to us with visions of exuberant blooms hanging overhead on their special day. Hanging flowers completely transform a space, creating an immersive atmosphere that will have guests talking long after the celebration is over. Ceiling grazing designs work in any type of venue – we recently turned Catch Steak NYC into a jungle paradise decorated with installations of tropical blooms. Going for a completely different vibe, a reception at Brooklyn Botanic Garden encapsulated whimsical romance expressed with a dreamy canopy of greenery and colorful blossoms.

Rather than trends, think of the above as fresh floral and decor ideas that will make your big day stand out in 2024. While everyone wants a beautiful looking wedding, the day is about being in the moment, an expression of the couple’s personality and love, because that is where everlasting beauty lies.
