Get a sneak peak at a recent Brooklyn Winery wedding, today on photographer Rima Brindamour’s blog.

Bride Margarita’s bouquet included ivory and blush garden roses, white sweet pea and stock and light-pink ranunculus, with blue thistle and bright pink dahlias. Doesn’t she look stunning in that lace dress by Ivy & Aster? We love how the cobalt ribbon she chose, for her bouquet’s finishing touch, matches groom Jose’s suit. Click through and you’ll see it also matches her lovely shoes!

We can’t wait to share more photos from this sweet couple’s celebration.

Donate Your Wedding Flowers to Share Joy With Those in Need

repurposed-wedding-flowers-repeat-roses

Exciting news! We now offer our brides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by donating wedding flowers to great causes.

We’ve hate to see beautiful flowers being thrown away, and many brides tell us they feel the same way. When we have a chance to drop off arrangements. at nearby hospitals or nursing homes, we always wish we could do it more often. Lately, we’ve been thinking a lot about giving back. And, like everyone else, we’ve been talking about sustainability. Planning a green wedding means putting thought into how to reduce waste.

Enter Repeat Roses, a new company that collects and repurposes wedding reception arrangements to be delivered to those in need. Your beautiful wedding flowers can bring smiles and joy to places like hospices and community shelters. Repeat Roses takes care of all the logistics.

White Wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park

elegant-white-weding-tablescape

This elegant white wedding, at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park, is a lesson in the art of the tablescape. Steal a few ideas and enchant your holiday guests.

White flowers will never go out of style for weddings, and they look beautiful for any season. When sticking to a monochromatic color palette, the key is to get creative with texture and shapes. Here, we created arrangements of various sizes, featuring hydrangea, stock blossoms, dahlias, Tibet roses, garden roses, ranunculus and football mums. Using so many types of flowers meant blossoms that range from small and delicate, to large and striking. We used a single flower type in each silver mercury-glass bud vase, then played up the sparkle and shine, by arranging the vases along a mirrored runner, with a series of chic, crystal candelabras and small, clear and mercury glass votives. When lit, the overall effect welcomed guests with an ethereal glow. We love the look of all-white linens with that subtle hint of pale blue from the stem glasses

Upcoming Flower Classes

jo-naylor-saturated-wreath

We’re so excited about tomorrow’s flower class, Autumn Floral Wreaths. This is a first for us; we specialize exclusively in wedding flowers, so our usual work rarely includes wreaths and holiday floral decor. But as you can imagine, we love to create seasonal wreaths like this for our own homes and for holiday entertaining.

If you can’t make it this time, join us next month for Holiday Table Garlands, another floral-design class for the holidays. Check out all our Flower Classes and follow us on Instgram and Facebook for class photos, videos and tips.

Wedding Flowers in Paris With Karen Tran

Last year I traveled to Paris to take part in Karen Tran’s Master Class. Today I came across a video and thought I’d share! It was just amazing to meet and work with Karen. Her floral designs have been a major influence and inspiration to our whole team. Her wedding flowers are created with a sense of lavish romance that really casts a spell.

You might recognize the lush tablescapes and ceremony decor we created for a styled shoot, from our gallery Charming Chateau. With photos by Christina Federova.

The shoot took place in Paris at Chateau de Bouffemont. You can learn more about Karen Tran’s Master Classes, and find some of the most beautiful wedding-flower inspiration, at The Floral Experience.

Welcoming Beata to our Team!

beata-assistant-weddings-coordinatorMeet Beata Jozefow, our new Assistant Wedding Coordinator. Beata was born and raised in Bialystok, Poland, surrounded by silk flowers.

“It’s funny how being raised around silk-flower decorations, created by my parents, led me to working with real ones!” Beata says.

Right after high school, she followed her dream and moved to the United States. After starting out as a cocktail waitress in a small restaurant, she gained experience in all aspects of the hospitality business, working private and corporate events at high-end venues all over New York City.

Beata has focused on weddings since 2013, when she earned her certification as a wedding and event planning consultant and completed an internship with the David Tutera Wedding Experience Expo.
