While many couples choose to have their ceremony and reception at the same venue, Christina and Ben chose a more traditional setting to exchange their vows – the Church of Our Saviour. BB Featured Bride Christina reflects back on this part of her wedding and says, ‘it was really special because this is the church where Ben and I go every Sunday for mass.” In fact, after the couple became engaged, Ben decided to convert to Christina’s faith of Catholicism. “He actually received his confirmation and first communion there,” she says. “And we had the same priest, Monsignor Sullivan, who confirmed Ben marry us.”  This week, we look back at how the couple blended tradition with personal meaning on their wedding day.

Many of us can attest that our first impressions of romance came from the fantastical animated films by Disney. But very few can say that Disney played a direct role in finding their true love. The beach is where it all began for Bride & Blossom. It was Founder Rachel Trimarco’s waterside nuptials that planted the seed, which would eventually grow into a luxury floral design & styling boutique. Rachel visualized the floral landscape for her own wedding. On the morning of, a-bride-to-be walked through the venue and liked the flowers so much that she requested contact information for the florist. That bride became Rachel’s first client.

In the past twelve years since then, the sense of joy and excitement felt as summer begins and weddings head to venues lined with sandy beaches and picturesque seascape views is just as strong. After a year and a half of pandemic lockdown that greatly impacted how we gather and celebrate lifetime events, we are especially looking forward to this upcoming season. In addition to the breathtaking setting, what makes beach venues in the New York City area so alluring is that they offer the look and feel of a destination wedding without all the added planning, stress, and expenses.

Rather, the colors, texture, and dimension that define a bouquet’s unique beauty are the result of major and secondary blooms in combination with fillers and greenery.

To help our readers better understand all the pretty details that go into assembling the perfect hand-held arrangement, we are sharing the floral recipes from our most ‘liked’ Real BB Wedding bouquets.

We love cultivated floral decor. But heading into summer, we can’t help but fall under the spell of wildflowers. Charming, colorful, and natural, they add a fresh, carefree feel to the weddingscape. Your first assumption may be that wildflowers can only be used in ‘boho,’ ‘rustic,’ ‘country,’ or ‘organic’ decorative themes. But as you will see, wildflowers can be worked into just about every wedding style from clean and minimalist to classic and elegant. The big question here is, “How ‘wild’ do you want to go?” Keep in mind, you don’t have to make a full commitment to the theme. Adding just few wildflowers to more ‘traditional’ wedding blossoms is all that is needed to bring a sense of lighthearted joy to your big day.
