Claire and James’ love story begins at the start of their freshman year in college. “We were actually introduced by one of my bridesmaids and her boyfriend, who is now her husband. She asked me to come and hang out with their friends one evening and that is when I first met James.” They hit it off immediately, but there was one small problem. Both were seeing other people at the time. Claire looks back and says with a little laugh, “Our relationships didn’t last too much longer. After Jean and Bryan exchanged vows, guests gathered in the iconic lobby of the Bronx Post Office for cocktail hour. Everyone enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres amidst the backdrop of the famous murals by artist Ben Shaun. Once the newlyweds made their happy entrance, celebrations really got underway.

Part 4: Reception, Heat Table, and Centerpieces

As everyone entered the reception area, an atmospheric evening light had just started filtering through the venue to beautiful effect. Jean and Bryan along with thirty guests took their seats at the head table where they were welcomed by a magnificent floral display evoking a mood of enchanted romance. A gorgeous mix curly willow, blush cherry blossoms, white hydrangeas, roses, snapdragons, delphiniums, burgundy scabiosas, brunia berries, and greenery were arranged on tall metal stands. Accented by teardrop-shaped glass bubbled, the blooms gave the impression of a floral chandelier hanging above the tablescape. Complementing petite floral arrangements brought an intimate feel to the dining space.

The warm and festive atmosphere combined with a fantastic performance from the couple’s wedding band had everyone partying well into the night. Part 4: Reception, Centerpieces, Sweetheart Table

Kate and Chase’s picture perfect ceremony was followed by a celebratory cocktail hour. Guests mingled, enjoying delicious hors d’oeuvres and drinks while the Highline Quartet played music, putting a classical twist on modern hits. Afterward, everyone headed to the reception in Natirar Mansion’s Grand Ballroom where they were greeted by an enchanted scene.

I had tried on so many dresses and none of them were what I hoped for. That is until I went to Spina Bride. It was like stepping into a wedding gown boutique set within a fairytale,” she remembers.
