With the end of each season, we always like to take a moment to reflect on our weddings – what made each one unique, memorable, and especially beautiful. This past summer, we had the pleasure of decorating the most luxurious venues in the New York area. Wedding styles ranged from upscale elegance to natural romanticism to modern chic. As floral designers, it’s always exciting to see how flowers and décor enliven these already gorgeous spaces while expressing a couple’s style and personality.

“There was a lot that went into making our day special. The morning of our wedding, we decided to simply accept everything as it was. Standing in the same spot later that evening, we looked each other and said, ‘We did it.’” Here, featured bride Heather shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding Story.

After the rooftop ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour to raise the first of many toasts honoring the newlyweds. Then it was off to the Vale Ballroom where a magnificent scene awaited them. “We knew that we wanted a transformation between the ceremony and the reception,” the bride says. “Our all-white ceremony was followed by the most colorful reception. We loved that everyone was like, ‘What did I just walk into?’ They were so surprised!”

When it came time to start searching for what she was going to wear at her wedding, Rashna got to skip the usual process of jumping from appointment to appointment at the local bridal boutiques. She explains, “My wedding dress had to be a traditional South Indian kanjeevaram saree. But I was lucky, because I was able to pick out my colors.” She chose a stunning jewel tone yellow and orange saree decorated with gold accents.
