As wedding floral designers, what we are about to say may sound controversial – at first. We do support using fake flowers as decoration, but only as long as they are made of sugar. We would be in obvious denial to not recognize the artistry and allure of the sugar flowers topping wedding cakes specially made for our couples. These blooming confections are so lively, rich, and detailed, they fool even the most trained eye.

Stephanie and Ricky met in Fall 2010 when both were still teenagers. “It was at Ricky’s best friend’s birthday party at a Hibachi Restaurant. Despite Stephanie’s serious hesitation, Ricky insisted they continue walking through the area. Her tone quickly changed to one of surprise after realizing that a photographer was taking photos of them. On April 1, 2022, Ricky got down on one knee and proposed to Stephanie.

While choosing your wedding flowers is exciting, seeing the examples flooding your Instagram feed and Pinterest can make the decision process feel overwhelming. With all the items still needed to tick off on your to-do list, you may be tempted to put off choosing floral decor. We get it. Flowers belong in the ‘important’ category right alongside finding a venue and wedding dress. When you knock out the ‘biggies,’ details such as signage, escort cards, favors, and signature cocktails become smaller pieces of a puzzle that fall into place.
