There are many reasons for wanting lofty table décor – it commands the eye while creating an alluring reception atmosphere. From a practical standpoint, a high centerpiece allows for more space below to accommodate the ever-flowing drinks and cuisine. One major trend we saw in our 2019 Real BB Weddings was the harlow stand. Taking the place of a tall vase, the harlow stand is 4-post metal structure used to display flowers. By the time the rings were exchanged, it was clear to everyone that Yani and Divinity had put together the ultimate mixed tape of love songs for their ceremony. Yani looks back and says, “Finally, after the kiss, we exited into cocktail hour to ‘Is This Love’ by Bob Marley!” Here, she shares the final chapter in their Real BB Wedding Story.

Part 4: Card Table, Centerpieces, & Hanging Floral Dance Floor Installation

We always tell our couples not to overlook the card table – it’s the first thing guests see heading into the reception and helps set the tone for the rest of the wedding. Yani and Divinity completely ran with the idea in welcoming their family and friends. The traditional décor fixture took shape in a jaw-dropping tree made of wisteria and birch branches adorned with roses, ranunculus, camellia greenery, and moss. “We had heart-shaped origami place cards, inspired by our connection to Japan, suspended from the branches waiting for our guests,” Yani says.

Yani & Divinity’s Exchange Vows In An Intimately Beautiful Ceremony

Yani and Divinity saw their wedding as a continuation of their love story, a chapter that they could fully share with family and friends. “We decided to have an unplugged ceremony. Everyone’s commitment to stay present and the LOVE we felt during the ceremony as we read our vows was incredibly overwhelming.” Here, BB Featured Bride Yani talks about the couple’s intimately beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the Manhattan skyline.

As guests made their way to Liberty House’s picturesque gardens for the ceremony, they were welcomed with music being played by a 4-piece string quartet. With a painterly blue sky, the day couldn’t have been more perfect for saying “I Do.”
