As we say a bittersweet goodbye to these last warm, sun-filled days, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on what a fantastic wedding season this past summer has been. Helping our brides’ floral fantasies come true is a feeling like no other. Always on the look out for inspiration, we couldn’t help but notice all the celebrities who also tied the knot, sharing their photos on Instagram, and in magazines like People and Vogue. Working weddings in New York City means you’re lucky enough to be surrounded by multiple cultures and a variety of fabulous wedding traditions. Bride & Blossom has been lucky enough to work with brides whose weddings celebrate the many cultures and religions that make this city one of the greatest in the world! With each ceremony comes the opportunity to translate unique traditions into a wonderful expression of a couple’s love. A beautiful example of this is the Jewish wedding ceremony, which is full of meaningful rituals symbolizing the union between a husband and wife and their bond to the Jewish community.
Growing up in Edgemont, NY, Samara was always close with her best friend’s older sister Amy. Hanging out after school or on weekends, she always admired Amy’s boyfriend’s best friend Keshar from a distance, but at the time seven years was much too wide an age gap for her to think of acting on her crush. Little did she know their paths would cross again years later, when Amy and her boyfriend got married. This time, the seven year age difference didn’t make things seem so out of the question.
A few months later, after completing a medical rotation in London and Florida, Keshar called Samara and asked her out on their first date. The following Saturday, he picked her up at 10 AM for a delicious brunch at Norma’s followed by an entire day in Central Park. It was the longest first date either of them had ever been on, and they’ve been together ever since… Read More

They went on their first date the very next day, and on their second date the day after that! After mini-golfing on the West Side, they sat and watched the sun set over the water, and Becca knew this was going to be something special. Dave, who’d been concerned his previous marriage and children might spook his date away, was relieved to find he could be completely honest and open with Becca. She wasn’t going anywhere. Read More
Traditionally reserved for Jewish ceremonies, a chuppah is a four-posted canopy that symbolizes the home a couple will build together during their marriage. Today, chuppahs can be seen at weddings of all types, from nondenominational to secular. Chuppahs are a beautiful way to frame your ceremony and create a personal, sacred space for you and your partner to exchange vows.
Every chuppah begins with a sketch, often drawn from several inspirational sources. “We work closely with our brides on creating the perfect ceremony backdrop, as the decor is setting the scene for such an important moment,” explains our Director of Events Elianna Phelps, “Sometimes our brides bring us several inspiration images – none of which are their dream ceremony.,, Read More
Get inspired by the bright summer sun by giving your wedding ceremony a colorful twist! At Bride & Blossom, we welcome the opportunity to play with color, especially in designing our ceremony chuppahs and arches. We enjoy thinking outside the box to create unique works of art that represent our couples. Whether flowers create an ombré effect or a “pop” of color, your ceremony will be sure to impress your guests and create the perfect backdrop for your special day.
Our lovely bride at Tribeca Rooftop was ecstatic to see her purple ombré vision come to life for her outdoor ceremony in August. Nicole married her best friend Mark under a canopy of vibrant purples and lush creams. We used varying shades of roses, carnations, and hydrangea to create this beautiful color palette. Read More
