In an effort to stay positive, motivated, and make the best of the situation this past year, many of us set goals, which often involved learning a new skill or tackling a challenging project. Intentions were good starting out and we were excited to master a foreign language, finally finish those home improvements, and dust off the sewing machine. From the gorgeous gowns and luxury venues to the floral decor and after parties, each of these stars in the worlds of entertainment and sports made their special day truly remarkable. We are always up for a good celebrity wedding recap and decided to take a look at the famous brides who rang in the New Year by saying “I Do.”

Hilary Duff

Our first famous bride to tie the knot over the holidays is Hilary Duff. The ‘Younger’ actress married singer and record producer Matthew Komas in an intimate ceremony at their L.A. home just before Christmas. The internet was abuzz when Hilary posted photos of her custom gown by Jenny Packham. Simple yet bold, the design featured a fishtail silhouette (100 buttons adorned the back!) paired with structured shoulders and cape-like sleeves. For their at-home nuptials, the couple worked with planner Yifat Oren of Oren & Co and floral design studio Hollyflora to create a romantic, dreamy atmosphere expressed though organic greenery and soft pink, plum, and off-white florals.
