Fall Wedding Ideas We Are Loving Right Now

Fall is the season for love. In fact, over a third of Bride & Blossom’s weddings take place between September and November. With its rich palette of colors, golden light, and chill in the air perfect for cuddling, fall radiates romantic bliss.

The bride planning a wedding this time of year has much to look forward to when it comes to creative décor and styling. While the availability of flowers is limited, the season offers a bounty of fruits and vegetables that look stunning in table centerpieces. The more candles adorning a tablescape or aisle the better. And we could go on and on about the wonderful food and drinks this time of year brings. It’s all about comfort food right now, and incorporating a pumpkin pie and apple cider cocktail into a wedding menu will leave guests full and happy.

Branches & Blooms: Flower Class at Bride & Blossom

bride-blossom-team-flower-classFor our latest floral-design workshop, Branches & Blooms, we filled the showroom with vibrant fall flowers and invited the class to get creative with color, shape and texture. We had such a warm, enthusiastic and talented group. We’ve been telling everyone our classes are NYC’s best girls’ night out, but it turns out, they also make a great date night. We were delighted to see more than one gentleman in the showroom this time!

Expert floral stylist, Dawn, charmed the class as she demonstrated technique and shared insider tricks. Here’s one tip that kept coming up: don’t overthink it! (The wine helps with that.) Relax, follow your instincts and experiment. Working with flowers is about using your senses. Get a feel for the way each stem feels in your hand. Notice which colors draw you in, and don’t forget to stop and breathe in the fragrance.
