While many couples choose to have their ceremony and reception at the same venue, Christina and Ben chose a more traditional setting to exchange their vows – the Church of Our Saviour. BB Featured Bride Christina reflects back on this part of her wedding and says, ‘it was really special because this is the church where Ben and I go every Sunday for mass.” In fact, after the couple became engaged, Ben decided to convert to Christina’s faith of Catholicism. “He actually received his confirmation and first communion there,” she says. “And we had the same priest, Monsignor Sullivan, who confirmed Ben marry us.”  This week, we look back at how the couple blended tradition with personal meaning on their wedding day.

Thankfully, BB Featured Bride Christina had a Disney heroine to guide her through the process. Having chosen a sophisticated ‘Beauty and the Beast’ theme for her big day, she wanted a look that captured the majesty and romance of her favorite fairytale. “I was ‘best friends’ with Belle when Ben and I met,” the bride recalls. “So I wanted my dress to allude to hers.” Here, Christina talks about her enchanted Eve of Milady ball gown and personals.

Christina and Ben both have acting backgrounds and met while working as performers for Disney Cruise Lines. Getting into character day in, day out in such close quarters, close bonds with colleagues inevitably form. Christina looks back at that exciting time when their relationship was transitioning from a working friendship to something more and fondly says, “I guess you can truly say, ‘it all started with a mouse.’”
