After being together for ten years, Ashley and Tiffany were ready to kick off married life with some serious celebrating. In today’s post we share the final chapter in the couple’s Real B&B Wedding story.
Part 4: Reception & Centerpieces
Ashley and Tiffany’s heartfelt ceremony was followed by an ultra-stylish reception. “Since the floral chandelier was high impact with lots of volume and texture, I wanted table décor to be clean and simple,” says Ashley. The tablescape featured mix and match arrangements that included petite centerpieces of lush roses, café au lait dahlias, hydrangeas, and Phalaenopsis orchids set in rectangular vases. Also on display were geometric glass terrariums, provided by the bride and filled with a layer of white sand and blush hued blossoms. Glowing votive candles brought intimate warmth to the presentation. “The play between lavish and minimalist décor elements created an atmosphere that was balanced, yet still very interesting,” said the bride.
The couple had a live painter on site to capture the love and beauty of their big day. While thumbing through wedding magazines, Ashley came across New York based artist Daniel Angeli and reached out to him. “He’s amazing and his work just speaks for itself.” When asked how it feels to look at the painting now, Ashley exclaimed, “Oh, the painting is forever going to be a part of us. It’s literally time-stamped with all the emotions and memories from our wedding day.” Someone very special to Ashley couldn’t make it to the event. “He even included my dog in there with me!” she gushed.
Favors are one of those wedding details that if done right, leave a lasting impression on guests. Knowing this, Ashley enlisted the super talents of her mom. “She loves to bake. She’s the first person people call when they need treats for a birthday. We always come home from weddings with these trinkets that end up collecting dust. So I wanted to give our guests a dessert they could enjoy later. My mom baked little frosted carrot cakes and put them in mason jars. It was suppose to be one per person, but people definitely took more! They were a big hit!”
All of Ashley’s planning and hard work paid off. The night couldn’t have been more perfect. When the couple took to the floor for their first dance, a sense of blissful joy permeated the room.
No wedding festivities are complete without a dessert of some kind. Ashley and Tiffany chose a white wedding cake decorated with a geometric design and pretty pink flowers. Chic, romantic, and completely fitting for the happy newlyweds.
Congratulations, Ashley & Tiffany! Thank you for sharing your love story with us!
