You don’t have to be the ‘resolutions’ type to use January 1st as the day to take stock of all that has happened in your life during the previous twelve months. For us, 2021 was marked by growth, new experiences, and gratitude. After an extremely tumultuous 2020, we joined fellow vendors in wading back into the waters of wedding planning and production. To be part of the behind-the-scenes magic that goes into creating the most important event in a couple’s life together is never lost on us. The sentiment was felt especially hard this past year as we watched our clients finally have their big day after countless, often soul-crushing postponements.

After Sammi and Steven’s picture-perfect ceremony overlooking Downtown Manhattan, guests were treated to cocktail hour, enjoying hors d’oeuvres alongside the newlywed’s signature drink, The Winston, named after their French bulldog. Then everyone headed to Tribeca Rooftop’s reception room for dinner followed by a glittering night of fun. Here, this month’s featured bride shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding Story.

When asked about the inspiration for her reception décor, Sammi said, “I knew I wanted everything to stand out from all of the weddings I had ever been to. I also wanted my reception to be a graduation from my ceremony, which was more intimate with softer colors. Florals were always going to be a big part of my decor, so in my eyes, I visualized having three different centerpieces, numerous varieties of flowers and as many shades of pink as possible! I wanted the vibe to be glamorous, romantic, and of course fun!”

For those who have dreamed of their wedding since childhood, first thoughts about all the beauty and flourish they will incorporate to make the day extraordinary often center around what they will wear. “Growing up, the extent of my wedding fantasy started and ended with the dress,” BB Featured Bride Allison says. “The groom and everything else just seemed like minor details.” In addition to the preliminary years of conceptualizing, Allison arrived to her first appointment at Kleinfeld with “6 months of online shopping under my belt.” What happened next sounds more like a perfectly executed scene from a classic Hollywood movie starring Audrey Hepburn as the bride-to-be than real life. BB Venues We Love: Brooklyn Botanic Garden

The establishment of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden over a century ago paralleled the modern development of New York City. As skyscrapers, paved streets, and bridges grew like weeds, it was nearly impossible to find a soft spread of grass or blooming flower garden. Not much has changed to the concrete jungle that has come to define the cityscape. And thankfully, not much has changed to Brooklyn Botanic Garden since opening in 1911. It continues to be a designated green public space where people can come and get lost in the mesmerizing splendor of nature. It is no wonder then that the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is an in-demand venue for couples planning their wedding in New York City.
