Guests were buzzing after Cara and Vince’s exchanged vows. Not only had they just witnessed a beautiful ceremony, but their happy hour menu included a strongly caffeinated drink selection. “Vince is Italian and takes his coffee very seriously. He hired Top Hat Espresso to serve an array of coffee and gelato,” the bride says. “Everyone was really happy. It was a unique way to start the second part of our wedding.” Here, Cara shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.

Reception, Centerpieces, and Entertainment

After enjoying cocktails and coffee, guests gathered into the reception space where they were greeted with a breathtaking scene. Trimmed with twinkling lights, the clear top tent gave way to the dark sky above, underscoring the enchanted atmosphere all around. The tablescape featured various centerpieces. Simple yet sophisticated, the first style was composed of white Phalaenopsis orchids illuminated by stemmed glass candles. “The orchid centerpieces were my favorite,” Cara remarks. “They made the tables pop with such elegance.” The second style was composed of an exquisite trio of cluster arrangements showcasing burgundy ascot and baccara roses and cream majolica spray roses. Cara, who is Irish and grew up Irish dancing, made the table signs, paying homage to her and Vincent’s family heritages. “Blending the two countries, the tables were named after our favorite places, some we have traveled to and some we hope to visit, in Ireland and Italy.”

Vince had proved his talent for pulling off grand surprises with an epic proposal in Florence and this night would be no different. “Right after dinner, I was asked to sit down because Vince had a surprise for me,” Cara recalls. “He found two opera singers, who are actually an engaged couple and had just relocated to the area from New Mexico, and asked them to perform for us. They sang about five songs and were absolutely amazing. Afterward, friends and family members came up to me and said that they had never seen live opera before, and may never have the chance to see it again. The experience was a real treat for them.” The rest of the night played out like a perfect dream. There was dancing, music, and round upon round of toasts. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, guests delighted in a selection of authentic Italian and Irish desserts.

In a day filled with once-in-a-lifetime memories, we asked Cara if any moments stood out to her. “We had just moved in. To be able to open up our new home to loved ones was really special. We took photos on the front steps to our house. There are many rooms that we hadn’t really settled into yet, so to invite everyone in and use these spaces to catch up and get ready was a lot of fun.” She continues, “When Vince and I shared our vows, we truly were opening our hearts to one another in front of our friends and family. It was a surreal moment where we both surrendered to love.” Months later, the couple can still feel the magic that spun through the air on their wedding day. “We often drink our coffee on the back deck and reminisce on all the laughter, dancing, and love that we shared in our own backyard.”

Congratulations Cara & Vince! Thank you for sharing your Real BB Wedding story with us!
