Kate & Alex were married this past June at a marvelous ceremony in Battery Gardens. The couple met at work, when Alex interviewed Kate for her first “real job.” They worked together for years before getting together and falling in love. Alex popped the question on a romantic vacation in Croatia. “I was completely surprised,” says Kate, “Though apparently no one else was!”
“…We love traveling together and can always make each other laugh, which I think is the best part of us being together.”
Filled with vibrant colors and elegant details, the couple’s ceremony certainly reflected the joy and laughter they’ve found in one another’s company.
Kate wore a stunning Princess-cut dress by Paloma Blanca, featuring a French Alençon lace bodice, Swarovski buttons, and a flared satin gown. She carried a delightful, summery bouquet of lush peach Juliet garden roses, coral peonies, white mini Calla Lillies, peach spray roses and coral roses, with jungle green accents wrapped in ivory satin.
The same colors accented with Maiden Ferns, Italian Ruscus, and Lemon Leaf perched in low silver pedestals made for stunning, textured centerpieces that popped throughout the sun-soaked reception hall, while the head table carried over colors from the ceremony, which featured softer peach and cream.
Clusters of budding peach stock, roses and greenery lined the aisle and two lush arrangements with white Hybrid Delphinium, Queen Anne’s lace and Bells of Ireland, dotted with peach Juliet garden and cream Vendetta roses, flanked the altar.
Congratulations Kate & Alex!
